I get it, this a Duchamp moment, right? The juxtaposition is perfect: a dramatic pose with the hair flying, the backlight, the Steve Jobs (His name be praised) get-up ... and a toilet peeking out from behind you. :P

Ahahahaha~!! Well, I wasn't thinking Duchamp (nor Steve-Jobs-his-name-be-praised, for that matter), but I guess you can say that? :P

In general, Dadaism, some of it is interesting, but some just leaves me going "???" I can't really latch on to it myself, personally. ^_^;

And whyever do you think that the Dadaists did not *hope* that you'd be 'left going "???"' after seeing their works? ;)

Yeah, yeah, I know. :P Appreciate them, but can't love them though!

You know, I can't wait to have memberships to NY museums, and have the luxury of not trying so hard to take in too much on one visit. E.g. I can go to MoMA repeatedly everyday for a week! if I felt like it. :P

I find the photo by itself engaging for a few moments.

But the title of the post adds (context / subtext / concept / something) that makes it downright *fascinating*.

It's a Rufus Wainwright lyric from a song called Go or Go Ahead. Seriously into his lyrics and music these few months.

I've never been a photo illustrator (make images specifically to illustrate ideas/themes/whatever), and I'm not a writer (though I can certainly be moved by words). But this putting a title to pictures/finding pictures to go with lyrics thing has been really interesting.
