I thought we had agreed that there'd be No Hiking on this trip!? We cheated and hiked a bit at the Garden of the Gods Park. Very interesting rock formations. (The one my car was looking at is called Kissing Camels.) Re: name of park, apparently, one guy said "This would be a great place for a beer garden!" and another guy said, "This place is fit for the gods!" Thus --> (Beer) Garden of the Gods.
In Estes Park now, Eeeeka's dad Steve was so kind and took us on a tour of the Rocky Mountain National Park. More on that later!

hello ladies of the canyon,
glad to hear the trip is going so well,
i do wonder how to get so many vowels in a name like your friend Eeeeeeka, i am jealous...
miss you loads.
love, (only one vowel & two measly consonants) Cat
Miss you so, Mountain Girl...
(N try not to get too tanned because us girls from the Orient like to keep it as pale as possible...)
Kitty -- Tired, I think we can both use more sleep, but trip is fun and going well. And re: name, I only got one vowel and one consonant in my name. So you're not that bad off. :P
Miss K and the Tse -- I got my SPF 50, as well as the Shu Uemura SPF 25 thing. I try to keep reapplying, since I burn so easily. :P Miss you too -- you hang in there, you jetsetting globe trotter you.
Garden of the Gods! Miss K & I stopped there years ago, and we too gazed upon the kissing camels. But I ask you this: are they really kissing, or locked in a battle to the death? Is the monkier just there to sugar-coat the face-to-face combat? YOU be the judge!
Miss J -- Yeah, I know! Just left Miss K's place yesterday, and she told me that you guys have been there.
And the answer of course, is ULTIMATE FINAL BATTLE! That'll last a MILLENIA!! Who will fall and who will be triumphant?? aaaaaarrrrrrrggghhhh...!!
