we make it up as we go along

(May, 2006. Interstate 81-S detour, between New York and Pennsylvania.)

(May, 2006. Lincoln Tunnel, New York.)

Can't believe it. After 4,000 miles, we drove into New York City. And promptly got lost, upon exiting the Lincoln Tunnel.

Thank God New York isn't too hard to navigate, what with the numbered streets and avenues. That is, when your navigator is looking at the correct (New York) map and not the Chicago one... :P (Girl, you're never gonna live this down!)

It did remind me of NYC in some bits... e.g. Michigan Ave reminded me in bits of Park Ave... and the art deco-ness of it. ;)
