Andrea -- THANK YOU DEUTSCHLAND! You have your priorities straight. ;) The cake was awesome, all strawberries and cream... and I made a point to actually stick 30 candles on it. :P *hugs muchly*, girl! Miss you.

D'oh! Happy belated b-day!! Sorry I missed it. But it looks like there was cake, so that's all right then. Being a field biologist who witnesses daily the struggle for life, I must say to you what I say to everyone on their birthdays: congratulations on surviving another year! You made it!

Jess -- Thank you! I'm glad I made it through too. Whew! And yes, I took matters into my own hands and got myself a cake. Also provided my own candles. All 30 of them! I was hell bent on getting them all on the cake. :P Am still pissed that I had to celebrate a day early. What up with that??
