london: i had to go, right?

I didn't go sightseeing or anything in London, but when I had a few hours between meetings on Tuesday, I did make my way to Conduit Street to see Viv. If you're familiar with my fashion leanings, you'll know that's the one store I absolutely had to visit. Especially since, unlike Stella McCartney, they don't have stores States-side any more, and the store in Hong Kong never has big enough sizes for me.

It's fantastic weather in New York right now, sunny and warm and nice. Been staying in a bit these two days, but it's comforting to know it's balmy out.

Over two and half days, I went to the area around Old Street three times, once to see a graphics/photo person, twice to see magazine art director/editors. The big roundabout there and the streets merging and splitting meant I got slightly lost at least twice, but I did make it to all of my appointments... (For the second one, I had walked 10 min in the wrong direction first so I rushed back the other way, and got to the magazine very winded and coughing. I had to ask the editor for water. Felt totally embarrassed. x_x)

Am safely installed on Kat and Pijus' couch in New York. Sleep is good!

It's amazing how dependent I've become on internet access, I was scouting out for internet cafes/Starbucks since the moment I got in... I do have a legitimate reason to want it (appointments in London), but I think it's just that I miss the connection to my people...

There's a LOT I can write up, these past 3 days have been quite tiring (my own fault, really), but there were useful things, and interesting and fun things too (esp. museums*). But it's nearly 2am, and I need to get up for a meeting tomorrow morning, so I'll write more next! :P

*: Pijus, it would interest you to know that the Cezanne Pissarro exhibit that we saw in New York has followed me to the Musee d'Orsay... I found my museum experiences here to be quite funny, and ironic. (Okay, one more tidbit, then BED: I left LA to go to Paris, only to go to the Galerie nationale du Jeu de Paume and find an exhibit of Ed Ruscha's photos of LA/California...)

cos i don't live here any more

Andrea said that my fan base is worried, and Pijus said that when I don't reply to comments and I don't blog for a day, something terrible must have happened. Um, I'm glad to have a caring readership? (I love you all~)

5500 miles later, I'm in LHR, waiting for my connection to Paris. It's been good so far, except for a confrontation with a crazed security officer at Terminal 4 LHR. When someone starts saying things like "... we may be America's PUPPET..." it's time to call the people with the white strait jackets.

Before the apartment inspection, I convinced Asako to come and do snapshots in my now empty apartment. We had 2 digital and 1 film snapshot cameras. We're dorks. :P Blogger is having trouble uploading images right now though... will keep trying and post them hopefully soon.

In the mean time, send me luv, I'm needing some strength here. (Kitty -- I'm *hearts*ing your mix so much it hurts.)

And here's my new shorter hair. Koji stuck, I think, at least 4 roller brushes into it when he was blow drying it. (I might have a pic on my T3, but it's film and still in the camera.)

M: Wow, that's a lot of volume.
K: Yes! We're doing glamour hair.
M: But I have nowhere to go tonight, Koji!
K: Just make some phone calls!
M: You don't understand. I just turned down a dinner and movie invitation cos I need to keep packing.
K: ... you're going to pack in this hair??

Well, not really. I visited Adriana/David/Chuck, dropped off books for Shawn, hung out a bit, then fell asleep last night cos it was too cold.

Now... more packing.
